Toyota Tazz 2001
Toyota Tazz
2001
1.6i 5 speed
Our first project for 2022 is a personal family car a 2001 Toyota Tazz
1.6i.
Bought in 2003 off a sales rep the Tazz came with high mileage for its
age been only 2 years old at the time of purchase.
The car has been in the same family for the last 19 years and is
starting to show its age.
Currently, the car has 445 000 km and runs soundly.
With the motor in decent condition and not needing any major
mechanical work.
This project will be focused on the suspension, interior,
audio, and bodywork.
This project aims to produce a fully
functional 21-year-old car with as many original working parts as
possible. Everything we cant source will be replaced with a suitable replacement
part that can function with this make and model car.
Our first task as with any new project will be to go through the car and
list all noticeable issues on the interior and exterior of the car.
Next, we will send that car off to have the suspension checked and
wait for a report.
This is what we like to call a “rolling project” the car is a daily driver and
will continue to be so for the remainder of the project.
The car has already been serviced and checked out
mechanically and we are comfortable allowing this to be a rolling
project.
We will be adding monthly updates on the progress of the car as well
as the different businesses that we make use of for the work we
cannot do.
